3. Security

JLT|Online employs up to date technology in order to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information under our control.

Our internal procedures cover the storage, access and disclosure of information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Please note that e-mails are not 100% secure. We advise that you take this into account before e-mailing personal and confidential information to us. If you send information by e-mail to us you are doing so at your own risk.

We have a secure server with 128bit encryption on our secure socket layer (SSL), ensuring your details are totally safe and secure.

To give you some idea what level of protection this provides, it would take 1000 computers (at the same time) 20 minutes to crack just a 3 character piece of information eg.''1y6'. A typical credit card number and expiry date is 20 characters in length!

We do not store or keep ANY customer records or credit card details on our server.

Thawte Certificate - We are Thawte certified. This certificate acts as our digital ID card and proves we are who we say we are. To obtain this certificate we have had to prove our identity, location and authenticity.

Lock & Key Symbol - To prove our transaction pages are secure, look in the bottom corner of your browser window for the locked padlock or key symbol.
